"A Streetcar Named Desire" à la Française

This month, a new French adaptation of the American classic drama "A Streetcar Named Desire" opened in Paris. American director Lee Breuer wanted to make this production different from any before it. He succeeded. The play is traditionally set in New Orleans, complete with Southern accents. However, Breuer has taken it in an entirely unique direction by giving the play a fantastical Japanese setting. Je pense que cette mise en scène nouvelle est trop bizarre pour être acceptée.

Québec Winter Carnival

Every year, Québec City hosts it's famous Winter Carnival. This year, the festivities began on January 28th and end on February 13th. The idea for a winter carnival was born in 1894, and the first official carnival took place in 1955. Since then, over 1 million people from all over the world arrive in Québec City, which happens to be the world's snow capital, to experience this unique celebration, which includes an ice palace, intricate snow sculptures, night parades, camping, dance parties, canoe races, and much more. The wonderful tradition of this carnival is an excellent time for Québec's citizens to take advantage of their frigid winters (today's low was -8°F) and turn the cold into a celebration of their city.

Ma Soeur

Je ne suis pas une enfant unique. J'ai une soeur plus jeune . Elle s'appelle Cristina et elle a dix ans. Elle est née à Guatemala. Nous aimons chanter et regarder la télé ensemble. Notre émissions de télévision préférées sont "Psych," "Scrubs," et "Gilmore Girls." Cristina est très creative et elle aime les animaux. Un jour, elle veut être vétérinaire.
